• Advertise by telling people about rescue. You and your beautiful rescued Airedale are our best asset. You can print out business cards with our website address to hand out when people ask you about your Airedale. These cards are 10 per page. Click on this link and print them on Avery business card template 5371 or 8371 - or just print them out on a piece of paper and cut them up.
  
  
• Foster an Airedale -- Prior to permanent placement, rescued Airedales spend time in foster homes. This gives Airedale Rescue an opportunity to properly evaluate the health, temperament, and general condition of the dogs, which ensures a better match with prospective adoptive families. Fostering is an important responsibility that is best performed by persons experienced in handling Airedales. Read the basic Fostering Guidelines to see if you might be able to help in this area.
  
  
• Transport an Airedale -- Although we try to place our Airedales locally, sometimes the perfect home is in another part of the state, or in a neighboring state. Because of the long distances involved in transporting in the southwest, we realize that it can be a financial burden. Please let us know if you could transport if you had help with the cost of gasoline. If you are a private pilot, please contact us if you would be willing to let an Airedale tag along from time to time.

• Volunteer your time -- There are many other opportunities to volunteer your time to Airedale rescue that involve as little or as much time as you can afford. They include:
  • Visiting your local shelters to spot Airedales;
  • Organizing Airedale get-togethers to provide support to Airedale owners (and have a lot of fun!)
  • Assisting Airedale Rescue with fundraising activities; and
  • Visiting with prospective adopters.

• Make a DONATION

  Southwest Airedale Terrier Rescue volunteers provide the funds for dog food, fostering and miscellaneous supplies from our own pockets. We try to cover shelter and kennel fees and veterinary expenses from the adoption donations, but extraordinary expenses require fundraising activities. We encourage you to consider purchasing the items we have listed on our shopping pages. All profits from the sale of those items go towards rescue expenses.

  Your cash donation will also be gratefully received and used only for rescue-related expenses. SWAT does not have paid staff.

  Gracie's Fund - An adopter of one of our older dogs has started "Gracie's Fund." SWAT accepts purebred Airedales of all ages, even those we know are unlikely to be adopted because of age. Donations designated for Gracie's Fund are used for the expenses of our wonderful senior Airedales in foster care, who deserve to live out their lives in comfort and dignity.

  While SWAT is a not-for-profit, all-volunteer coalition, donations to Southwest Airedale Terrier Rescue are not tax deductible as charitable contributions.

  Southwest Airedale Rescue is a member of CABRA, an Arizona not-for-profit corporation that is tax-exempt according to IRS tax code 501(c)3.

  Your gifts of cash to CABRA www.cabra.org are tax deductible. Please make your check payable to CABRA and in the memo section state "for Airedale Terrier Rescue." CABRA will make 100% of the money available to our rescue.
