Hazel's owners turned her over to Southwest Airedale Rescue because a change of circumstances left them with too little time for her and she was suffering.

Hazel now enjoys all of the attention her new family loves to give her, including lots of walks and tea parties and sharing secrets with her smallest upright, who adores her.

Which is not to say that it has all been smooth sailing. The family continues to work on Hazel's greeting and playing styles, which are more vigorous than most other dogs enjoy, as well as her tendency to want to pull like a sled dog on walks.
