Dedicated to finding the perfect home for every homeless Airedale

ATTICUS

Atticus was released to Southwest Airedale Terrier Rescue by his owner, who very much loved him, but could not afford to fence the ranch where they lived. Rather than see him get hurt as he wandered the countryside, she asked Airedale Rescue to find him a good home. Atticus is now living in town and seems to be enjoying it very much.

Atticus has taken over the guestroom as his own and will go in there and spread out on the bed at night. During the day, he is frequently either on the couch in the family room with me or on our bed. He is quite the couch potato.

He has learned to play with Ginger's toys. He loves the soft squishy kind and runs around the house with them in his mouth and takes them to bed with him.

He has finally learned to pee on leash. At first he would only go when he got back to the yard, but he will now lift his leg a couple of times on the walk. He has no interest in being outside in the yard unless we are out with him. He is happy out there when we are gardening, or having coffee, but doesn't want to be out there by himself, which is fine with us. When we leave to do errands, he just goes to the guest room and sleeps until we get back.
