Charlie and Grace Get Groomed

Kennel Comfort Pet Motel
did the best she could considering the dogs were terrified of strangers and went absolutely berserk if you got near their heads.
Wonderful Barbara Bird of the
Transformation Pet Center
offered to come in on a Sunday to groom Charlie and Grace. Even though she has been grooming less than five miles from me for years,
I just recently discovered Barbara. I admired the wonderful haircut on an adopter's Airedale and they told me who had done the great job.
I am thrilled to have found a groomer who actually knows what an Airedale is supposed to look like!

Charlie and Grace both started out terrified, but with Barbara's calm sure movements and me
distracting them with kisses, they were pretty calm by the end. Barbara did end up having to scissor their
heads, but if someone will patiently desensitize them to the sound of the clippers, they will learn to accept it. Charlie was almost dozing with his chin resting in the palm of my hand by the
end of our session.
