Lori Taylor

Flo, Lori and Forge.

Lori lives with her husband, Ron Swisher, and they are owned by their ADTs, Flo (7) and Forge (4). Flo is a certified therapy dog and Lori and Flo do pet therapy at a couple local nursing homes. Flo and Lori are now taking some advanced obedience classes. Forge and Ron are training for the hunting of grouse and waterfowl. Flo and Forge go to Vermont in January to go skiing, and to the beach in Delaware in the summer. Flo and Forge also live with their two cats, AJ and Flux. This block is the third hand-appliqued quilt block Lori has made for the annual Airedale Rescue quilt raffles. Lori is thrilled to be part of this effort to raise funds to help all the deserving Rescue 'Dales.

Because our computers play such an important role in the creation of our quilts to support Airedale rescue efforts, it seemed fitting that the Airedales would have a computer room in Annette's House. My first drawing depicted one Airedale sitting at the computer. But remembering that our two "real life" Airedales never do anything by themselves, I decided there should be another Airedale watching the screen and "helping." And then, to depict the true mischievous nature of the Airedale, there had to be the third one, on his back, on the floor, playing with the cable, totally oblivious to what the other two were doing at the desk above him. The diplomas on the wall behind them, are those earned by the Airedales in computer technology.
