Christine Zane's Machine Quilting

Chris quilts each block or section in a unique way that accentuates and brings out the very best.  This is no ordinary quilting!  Chris is an artist.  If the background is swooping clouds, Chris quilts it with lines that accentuate the movement and puffiness of the clouds.

Chris's job requires a lot of work and is spectacular.  She quilts around the dogs which makes them puff up and have a 3D look.  This quilting really captures the life and movement of the quilt.

Chris invents variations of feathering that is so imaginative that it undulates to fill the space. Chris also uses lovely and unusual threads, many are variegated and have dramatic changes in color that add excitement yet never overshadow the appliqué designs.

In addition, Chris always chooses the border, binding and backing fabric.  Often these are hand-dyed beauties that Chris has made herself.  Also, she sews the narrow binding and the hanging sleeve to the back of the quilt by hand.
