We live on the Central coast of California and love walking on the beach. Over the past twelve years, five unsocialized Dalmatians owned us. We could not let them run freely on the beach. As they neared the Rainbow Bridge, we knew we would still need dogs in our home.

Molly entered our life as a one-year-old Airedale in November 1999. She was sweet and most delightful. She loves running on the beach, enjoying people and especially other dogs. OK! I thought that one Airedale was good, so two would be that much better!! When four month-old Chloe was returned to her breeder, we were there to welcome her to our home.

Chloe is spunky, determined, willful and energetic....Airedale characteristics to the max. She has a wonderful smile, plus a winning personality. We and Molly loved her at first sight. Chloe also loves running on the beach.

Molly and Chloe now play on the beach together, enjoying the sand, ocean, birds and smelly kelp. Kelp is a great pulltoy. If Molly has a piece of kelp, Chloe knows that it must be the best piece on the beach, and visa versa. The game of tug begins!

The beach is our very favorite place, so it had to be represented on the quilt.

Artist's Bio:

Quilting has been a passion of mine for many years; Airedales for only two. I wonder why it took me so long to discover these wonderful, happy, people-friendly dogs. Other beachwalkers enjoy watching them play, dance, run and swim. It is a very happy experience. Molly and Chloe share their home with our last Dalmatian Max who is 11. I was delighted to read of the Airedale Antics quilt and to be able to participate in this year's project.
