Macho was the Airedale we had when our children were growing up. He loved to swim in the pool. He also liked to climb up on the base of the slide so he would be high enough to look at the boats that would go by in the bayou behind our house. Because he loved to swim so much we had to figure out a way for us all to enjoy the pool together. Thus the idea for the float. When we got into the pool, we held the float steady for him to step on. The children had a wonderful time pushing the float around and he literally stayed on the float the entire time that we were in the pool. Both our children are now raising their own families with Airedales.

Artist's Bio

My husband and I live in Panama City, Florida. Panama City is on the Gulf of Mexico and is located in the panhandle of Florida. We have two Airedales, Maggie 7 1/2 and Bugle Annie 1 1/2. Maggie goes to work everyday with me to my sign business. She has all kinds of children that come by the shop to visit with her. She is very calm and is a perfect lady at work. Annie stays home with my husband who is retired. She is a typical young dale so full of fun and enthusiasm. She came to us through rescue at the age of 9 months.

We have recently moved from our house in town to the beach, where we have a small cottage named Fat Dog Bungalow - you can imagine what kind of dog I put on the sign - a dale if course. We will be building a new home next door to the Bungalow.
