Artist: Carol Elsworth
Media: Hand AppliquéThe block is loosely taken from a photo of our ADT granddog, Bailey. She gets her leash out of the drawer in which it's kept and waits for her walk. We have to spell the "L"(eash) word, as well as the "W"(alk) and "R"(ide) words. Bailey is older now and is quite arthritic but still full of the devil. I had always thought she was unique with her various habits but have discovered since joining this group that all ADTs do the same things.
My husband and I have lived in Cheboygan for 18 years. We came from the Metro Detroit area, and our older daughter still lives there. I am an active Hospice volunteer and quilter, preferring machine piecing and hand quilting. I'm looking forward to helping with both of the ADT quilts this year.
Webmaster's Note: Carol handquilted the "FAIRE SEASONS" quilt (see photos) and constructed the display stand for the quilt.
This is our Bailey's "puppy" picture. The photo was taken the day she had her first haircut. We think she is a very special girl! She is 12 years old now and still mischievous. Bailey belongs to our youngest daughter, Lisa, who works and lives alone, so we borrow Bailey often. Bailey loves to help Grandpa in the garage while he does his woodworking. She also can be found lying on my foot while I'm quilting. Someday we hope to have our own ADT.
