I love
Airedales and I'm so pleased to have the opportunity to participate in this
wonderful group of quilters and make a block to benefit Airedales in need.
I've been sewing since I was five and have made quilts in the past but this is
my first experience with applique. Patty Eisenbraun drew my block with my need
for simplicity in mind. Though simple, it was still challenging -- but fun. I
look forward to improving my skills as I make blocks for future quilts.
I live with my husband, Michael, my daughters, Natasha and Brenna, and our
wonderful Airedale girl, Wynnie, in Columbus, Ohio. Wynnie came to us through
ATRA
several years ago after we lost our beloved Rosie to cancer. Though our hearts
were broken, our friend, Kim, knew we couldn't live for long without an Airedale
in our lives and suggested that when we were ready, we might want to consider
adopting a rescue 'dale. We took Wynnie into our home to foster and quickly
realized that we couldn't face broken hearts again. Of course, we adopted her!
Life is too much fun with Airedales!
