Keeper is an ATRA rescue from Southern Ohio. Keeper proves that neither rain, sleet, ice or snow will stop airedale rescue. That is what the volunteer drivers went through on his first day with rescue. Barbara Mann braved the early December storm, bailed him out of the shelter, took him to be neutered and started him on his journey from Cincinatti to Sandi Sprankle near Cleveland. Sandi remembers Keeper as the dog that flies, as that is what he looked like as her ran around the yard and played with Sandi's rescue, Jake. On New Years Day 1999 I met Sandi, got my new boy, and haven't looked back. I'm sure Keeper ended up at the shelter for the same reason many other dogs do, he was a big, goofy, teenager Airedale with little or no training, too much for someone not prepared for the Airedale personality. Keeper is now 4 and I can see just a tad bit of maturity starting to set in. He's a big goof that I love to pieces. Keeper and I share our home with his fur cousins Augie and Sam, both mixes.
