My First Haircut
by Ripken Robbins

I have always had my hair stripped, but Mom decided she just didn't have the time to do that this year, so I was going to be clipped instead. I was very worried about this because I have heard stories on the list about the bad, bad haircuts some of my Airedale buddies have been forced to endure.

Luckily, Becky Preston, a long-time Airedale breeder (Skycladd Terriers), got word of what was about to happen to me and offered to come and show Mom how to properly clip an Airedale. Mom took the pictures and Becky has provided an explanation of what she is doing. We hope that this will help all my Airedale buddies explain to their moms and dads just how an Airedale is supposed to be clipped.

If any of you live near Austin, Texas, you should look up Becky at her boarding kennel, Countryside Pet Resort in Georgetown TX just north of Austin. They are opening in time for the 4th of July holidays and will have 50 indoor/outdoor runs, play yards, daycare, grooming, obedience classes etc. They are taking early reservations and can be reached by e-mail at skycladd@msn.com or phone at 830-624-0873
