Lydia Ross
Washington, USA

My name is Lydia . I live in Seattle , WA . and I have an Airedale; Alice who is 5 years old. I also have a 13 year old, 17lb cat named Katie Booger.

I like to quilt, garden (enjoyed tremendously by Alice), make greeting cards (all sorts), and bake cookies (dog and human).

This is my first year working actively on the Bee.    While not a quilting participant on this project; I did make the quilt memory book covers and was truly excited when my suggestion for the quilt title "AIRElifted" was voted as the best title.

I try and help with Airedale rescue in many ways.

*Project Manager's Note* Lydia is known on the ADTlovershome for her famous kookie kontest, which encourages comraderie on the list and at various times, encourages additional contributions to Airedale rescues in need.  This year's bonus quilt was named after those famous kookies - "Waiting for Aunt Lydia's Kookies" or "Kookies" for short.

Also this year with the help of another Bee member Linda Cunningham,  Lydia started a "WAR DOG" airelift program on ADTloverhome and adopted a K-9 team in Iraq, mailing them many packages containing items for both the canines and the soldiers.
