My name is Judy Dwiggins and I live in TroutDale ,
Oregon USA with my husband Roy, and our two Airedales - Beau ( 9 ) and
Anabelle ( 4 ) I work as a General Services Manager for the Housing
Authority of Portland. I manage the headquarters building, telephone
system, customer service receptionists and our courier route service
between buildings.
Roy and I have three sons. Jim the oldest lives in Seattle , Wash. with
his son Alex who is three. Our second son Brian and his wife Cary live
near us in Fairview , Oregon . They have two sons, Jordan (the
Airedale-boy) who is four and Nicholas who was born in August, 2003.
Our youngest son Scott and his wife Melissa live Oregon . They have one
son Jude who turns one in July.
I've been a member of the Quilting Bee since the first quilt. I love
being a part of this fantastic and successful group of quilters. I've
learned so much from everyone over the last five years. I really
appreciate being a part of this group.
Beau came into our lives when he was 2.5 years old. He was returned to
his breeder because of allergies. Although he didn't come from a rescue
group, I still feel like we rescued him and he rescued us. Our first
Airedale, Bonnie was 9 years old when Beau became part of our family.
Beau loved Bonnie so much and he was as heartbroken as Roy and I when
she crossed the Bridge two years after he came. Bonnie must have
trained Beau in her ways because he's certainly stepped up to the job of
filling her pawprints. He's been a wonderful friend and the sweetest
dog you could ever meet. It's a good thing -- Anabelle, our baby-girl
has been a real challenge. She's a feisty girl; full of p*ss and
vinegar. Beau certainly has his paws full most of the time. Luckily
he's very patient and she idolizes him too. I can't imagine our life
without Airedales. They have so much energy and joy they make our lives
full of happiness too. Besides, they keep Roy and I on our toes. Our
grandson Jordan recently told his mother that when he grows up he's
naming his children Anabelle and Beau. What a wonderful influence these
Airedales have on our lives :).
