I'm Christine Sheffer. I live with my husband Tim and three Airedale children in Rush, New York. (just south of Rochester) Bristol is an nine year old girl that works a full schedule as a therapy dog. Our wild child is CeCe who just completed her therapy dog certification and is beginning a busy career. She is still a wild child. We also have a three month old puppy named Baron. He is a delightfully naughty little guy. My husband is a Fuel Systems Engineer for Delphi Automotive. I think that means he goes to lots of meetings and travels frequently overseas. I am the staff trainer at a school for children with autism and other complex challenging behavioral needs. I've been active in standard poodle rescue for a lot of years, as well as all breed rescue. I'm new to Airedales in the past 5 years. I married my husband after falling in love with his Airedale. My heart and soul have become soft on this very special breed. Rescue is a natural outcome of that. We do all facets of rescue including foster care for Airedale Rescue of Western New York. I don't sew a stitch, not even a button. I am in awe of the beautiful work the quilters do. That makes me available to help in any nonsewing ways. I'm pretty good with organizational things and am outgoing enough to sell tickets to strangers. I am part of pre-Montgomery ticket sales, and also work the Montgomery week in any way needed. I feel very strongly that everyone can help in
some way and together we can do it all. (Corny but true.) |
