My name is Becky Preston and I live in Georgetown, TX which is just north of Austin, a bedroom community per se. My husband Tom and I just opened a 50 run boarding kennel (Countryside Pet Resort) in September after 2 years of planning and starving. Ever live in a 35 foot travel trailer for 18 months with 6 ADT's 2 Border Terriers and a litter of 8 ADT puppies the last 3 months? It's very interesting!!! I did Airedale rescue in Texas in the early and mid 90's before Marilyn Doudt, Sandy Folta, Ellana Livermore and Cheryl Silver took over. I still am the treasurer for south Texas Airedale Rescue. In the past year I have taken up applique quilting and I am really enjoying it. |

The block originated because my guys love to eat the inner sole out of my shoes. So I got one of my husband's tennis shoes (I'm no dummy), threw it out in the living room to play with and then started snapping pictures. I then used my computer to take pieces of different pictures to get the one that I could fit in the square and quilt and then copied that combined photo. Then I traced the outlines of the photo and that became my template. |
